Fifty-fifty vision
Later this year I am going to celebrate my 50th birthday. Fifty is a number associated with Jubilee festivities, which in the ancient laws of the Torah were a time to reset: enabling places and people to flourish in freedom. I am putting the idea of jubilee – helping places and people flourish - at the centre of my birthday celebrations.
One way I am
doing this is to undertake a challenge to raise money for three charities which
help people flourish:
These three
charities tackle major issues: mental health, modern day slavery and supporting
young people.
My challenge is to complete the Sprint Triathlon in Stratford and use that as an occasion to raise funds for these three amazing charities. I believe we can create more change if we do this together and I would love you to join me!
I invite you to take on a challenge of your own choice to raise money for these three charities, and to help me celebrate my milestone birthday. My dream is that another 49 people will take part in some way by also going a challenge: A fifty: fifty vision.
No, you don’t
have to do the triathlon (although you can if you like). You can choose a
challenge, big or small, from a coffee morning to a craft-a-thon – whatever
will bring you joy and use the opportunity to raise some money with me.
I have set up a sponsor me page and I can add you as a team member so that we can work together
on fundraising and share our stories.
If you’d like
to join my 50:50 challenge, let me know so I can add you to my sponsor me page
and we can start creating change together J
